  • Plumbing Services in Okotoks and the Foothills

    We are looking for a 3rd, 4th year Apprentice or Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter who has experience in all aspects of plumbing and gas fitting for residential and commercial buildings. This person would have to be a team player that can work well with others as we currently have an excellent team providing residential and commercial plumbing services in Foothills, we just need to add to it.

    Types of jobs could include but are not limited to residential and commercial drainage, waterlines, gas fitting, fixture installation and hydronic heating. In addition to plumbing and gas fitting, G.M. Mechanical also offers air conditioner installation services, furnace replacement services, furnace repair in Foothills, and more. You would have the opportunity to learn about other trades including sheet metal, air conditioning, and electrical.

    Applicant must be willing to travel as we go where the work goes! Majority of our work is within the local area, but we have large projects providing plumbing and heating services in Okotoks, Fernie, and Calgary as well. When travelling over 2 hours we pay for your accommodation, time to travel and per diem (unless other arrangements have been agreed upon).

    Applicant must have a clean criminal record, own hand tools/cordless tools, relatively clean drivers abstract or own vehicle/insurance.

    We supply phone allowance, benefits and an RRSP matching program after probation. We are a COR certified company so applicant must be able and willing to follow safety procedures

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

    Salary: $25.00-$43.00 per hour

    Schedule: 10 hour shift | 8 hour shift | Day shift | Monday to Friday

  • Professional Plumbing and Heating Services in High River and Beyond

    We are looking for a team player to join our service department. The perfect candidate could become a permanent fixture within our company. Ideal applicants would have residential experience and some experience providing commercial plumbing services in Foothills.

    We have a long list of residential and commercial maintenance contracts to go along with our service work and installations. Our wide array of services includes air conditioner installation services, residential and commercial plumbing services in Foothills, and furnace repair in Foothills. We would want to see excellent finishing skills and neatness, the ability to do HVAC residential maintenance and repair, and boiler experience.

    After a probationary period, we offer benefits, an RRSP matching contribution program, and a cell phone allowance. Although this job would be primarily in the immediate area, providing plumbing and heating services in High River, while working over two hours away, we provide accommodations and per diem.

    We have our COR in Safety, so we would expect any applicant to be willing to work safely, wear proper PPE, and complete the required safety paperwork.

    Applicants should have their own trade-specific hand tools, micrometre, manometer, and cordless drill.

    Salary: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

  • Opportunities in HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Services in Southern Alberta

    We have a busy construction season ahead of us, providing air conditioner installation and furnace replacement services in the Foothills. We are looking for a Journeyman or experienced Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker with experience in at least one multi-family construction project, new home construction, or replacement and retrofit of furnaces and air conditioners.

    The applicant must be willing to travel, as we have jobs in the Fernie area and all over Southern Alberta, in addition to our local jobs. When over 2.5 hours away, we pay per diem and supply accommodations. Most jobs are in the local area, though.

    The applicant should have his or her own hand tools and a cordless drill. A reasonably clean driver's abstract is a must.

    We are looking for a team player who can grow within our company whether you want to go the construction route, retrofit, into service, or even all of the above.

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

    Salary: $26.00-$40.00 per hour

    Schedule: 10-hour shift | 12-hour shift | 8-hour shift | Day shift | Monday to Friday

  • We're looking for a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience with residential single and multi-family projects as well as some light commercial experience. The candidate should have the ability to complete a number of projects with minimal oversight.

    This position involves carrying out new housing electrical (service, rough-in, final) and multi-family housing electrical (service, rough-in, final). Responsibilities include but are not limited to servicing and diagnosing electrical issues, replacing electrical fixtures, troubleshooting problems with electrical wiring, and using fire alarms, smoke detectors, and automatic sprinkler systems.

    Additionally, this role involves assisting the service, plumbing, and HVAC departments as needed. It also includes collaborating with managers and parts personnel to coordinate scheduling and parts ordering, as well as working with and teaching apprentices. The new team member would be expected to follow our company’s safety program, and drive in a safe and responsible manner.

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Salary: $38.00-$42.00 per hour

    Supplemental pay types: Bonus pay
